A Holiday Story part 13

13 December

Cookie looks down inside the tree.

There is something that looks like a staircase.

When he takes the first step on the ladder he can feel the tree breath and it asks;

"Who are you climbing on by branches?"

"It's me Cookie Crossings I'm on my way to find a lamp for Harun al Raschid." Cookie answers.

"You have a pure heart you can go down but you can't take anything with you unless it asks you to." The tree says.

"But how do I get out and release my sisters?" Cookie asks.

"That's your quiz not mine" The tree whispers and is silent.

Cookie climbs down to a dark room it's filled with treasures of all kinds.

He is looking for a lamp but somehow he feels he has to find something else too.

He sits down on the floor on a carpet he is thoughtfull and plays with the frays on the carpet.

The carpet starts to move and he can hear a voice "Where to master?"

Cookie looks everywhere but here is nobody else.

He touches the frays again and the voice repeat "Where to master?"

Now he knows how to get from this place but how can he make the carpet want to leave with him.

Do you want to fly up above the ground and touch the sky?" he asks the carpet

The carpet says; "Where to master?"

He touches the frays again and says"Up above the ground and touch the sky."


The carpet moves as high as it can but it can't leave the room.

Then Cookie hears the voice of Harun screaming he has to hurry up!!

"I have to find a lamp what kind of lamp does a man like Harun want?"

Cookie looks all over the place.

All he can find is an old oil lamp, is this working it doesn't look that way.

He can see it's something written on the lamp he starts to rub it.

Oh it's a genie in the lamp that's why Harun wants it.

He asks the genie if he wants to follow him.

"I'll go wherever you go master till the end of time if I has to! What is your first wish?" 

 The genie asks.

"I'll make it when I have managed to find my way out, thank you"

Cookie says and goes to carpet and starts to roll it.


The genie disappears into the lamp again.

He has to leave somehow without the wizards seeing him.

He walks to the stairs with the lamp and carpet and starts to climb up.

The tree starts to shiver and move. It feels like the tree is going to fall all over him.


The carpet says with a loud voice, "I want to go with you Cookie!"

The tree stop shivering and moving.

Cookie climbs up all the way and looks for the wizards.

He can hear Cam yell at Harun and Nohan is speaking loudly with Ali Baba.

"Good" he says ans rolls up the carpet.

Then he touches the frays and says;

"Up on the roof but don't let them see us!"

(*What is he going to do with that old lamp?)

(*I want a flying carpet too!)
